11 Feb 10 MEMORANDUM FOR AFSA Chapter 658 FROM: AFSA Chapter 658 SUBJECT: Chapter 658 Standing Rule 10 – 6 – Secretary/Treasurer Voting Right 1. Purpose: The purpose of this standing rule is to give the secretary and the treasurer voting rights in the executive council. This will ensure that if a vote is put forth to the executive council that the best decision will be made be for the chapter. This standing rule was approved be the general membership at the meeting held on 18 Feb 2010. 2. Authority: AFSA Manual 100-2, September 2009, Policies and Procedures. 3. 21 Jan 10 MEMORANDUM FOR AFSA Chapter 658 FROM: AFSA Chapter 658 SUBJECT: Chapter 658 Standing Rule 10-3– Chapter Activities 1. Purpose: This standing rule provides AFSA Chapter 658 a chance to show community involvement. AFSA Chapter 658 will inform the ALS graduating class of possible benefits from being involved with AFSA Chapter 658 and AFSA HQ International. 2. Requirements: A Check for fifty dollars ($50) will be presented to each ALS Class. 3. Authority: The General Membership has approved the use of funds for the ALS graduating class. 4. Accountability: If ALS does not hold a fund raising, community, heritage service project, a check will not be presented. This standing rule will be overseen by the chapter Vice President MSgt Christopher Hampton. Purpose: This standing rule provides two grants for the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) each. The first grant will be awarded to the spring graduating class; the second grant will be awarded to the fall graduating class. Both grants will go towards an AFSA member/CCAF graduate who plans to pursue further education. Guide lines will be set in place for each graduating class. 2. Authority: The General Membership has approved the use of funds for the CCAF Education Grant totaling three hundred dollars ($300). 3. Purpose: This standing rule provides for the establishment of a Chapter President’s discretionary fund. This standing rule was approved be the general membership at the meeting held on _________________. 2. Authority: The General Membership has approved the use of a discretionary fund for the AFSA Chapter 658 President. 3. Chapter President's Discretionary Fund: Provides for the establishment of a Chapter President's Monthly Discretionary Fund in the amount of $100.00 to be available to the chapter president to cover incidental and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of the president's duties.
